To make each drop of whisky, Oban uses water from a lake three miles away from the distillery.
The process to produce it is the same as it was 200 years ago, using a mill some 70-80 years old to grind the barley malted and produce grinding.
After maceration and fermentation, the process goes to the stills, and finally the brandy ages in very high quality oak barrels.

Located in the Scottish Lowlands, Annandale was founded in 1836 and continued to work until 1918, when it fell into a deep sleep after the vagaries of the First World War.
Reopened in 2014, it now produces the historic peat-smoked whiskey profile and a fruity, peat-free Single Malt.
