At Tamnavulin they hand select their oak barrels, including Bourbon casks from North America and Sherry casks from Spain, to ensure that their influence perfectly complements and enhances the characteristics of Tamnavulin; rich, smooth, honeyed and refreshing.
The collection of barrels dates back to the 60s, when the distillery was built.

Once filled with new spirit, the barrels will rest in our cool, dark warehouses for several years. Over time, the whiskey gains its color and flavor from these barrels until it achieves an exquisite flavor profile.

The ancient springs of Yilan's Sonw Mountain bring the water for Kavalan whiskey. The subtropical mountain atmosphere adds a tasty mineral content to the spirit, making each drop of whiskey completely unique.
When the whiskey has reached the desired maturity, select casks are poured and Kavalan water is added to create the just right amount of alcohol by volume for certain expressions. Finally, the fully brewed single malt is bottled.

The Soloist series is the single cask strength range, where the whiskey is drawn from the cask at its highest quality without dilution, showcasing the unique and original character of the liquid.
Each of two maturation warehouses of the Kavalan distillery is 5 stories high.
Like Taiwan the warm, the spirits extract the flavor of the oak at a faster rate. Even at a young age, Kavalan whiskey is more mature than others of a similar age.

Using only malted barley sourced from the east of Scotland, the distillation process for Glen Scotia single malt Scotch whiskey is known as small batch processing.

The result is an excellent selection of single malt whiskeys made in a limited number of carefully selected casks, creating a consistent whiskey flavour.

This painting is a personal quest to communicate the impressive and meaningful character of Mortlach whisky. Full of symbolism and fun, it shows my take on an imaginative concept to encapsulate a mysterious and distinct spirit.
Built with the traditional pagoda designed by Charles Doig, Mortlach Distillery hails from the dark side of Speyside and is affectionately known as 'The Beast" of Dufftown for its robust and characterful whisky.

The bottle has an architectural memory, with strong shoulders and a very geometric shape, which contains the bold and unique spirit that emerges from a very particular distillation of 2.81 times that passes through 6 stills, including The Wee Witchie, the smallest and most magical.
