Knockdhu Distillery is a whiskey distillery in Knock, Banffshire, owned by Inver House Distillers Limited.
It was founded in 1893 by John Morrison, who bought the land from the Duke of Fife to produce whiskey after several springs were discovered in the southern slopes of Knock Hill.
The new location was not only convenient to the railway, it was also within a few miles of a district known both for its barley and its endless supply of excellent peat.
The distillery was built from local gray eye granite, with two coal-fired stills, now steam-heated.

Balblair sits on a remote, unspoiled hillside overlooking the Dornoch Firth in the north of Scotland.
They use only the best ingredients and traditional processes to make the distinctive and characteristic whisky.
In that part of Scotland, they are the oldest distillery since 1790.
A place where time passes slowly but a warm unhurried welcome always awaits.

The methods used to make anCnoc have hardly changed in over 100 years and, ironically, it is these traditional techniques that help create the distinctive, modern flavor.
The Knockdhu Distillery's two copper pot stills, one washing and another of brandy, they are the same size and shape as they were 125 years ago, when the first brandy was distilled.

Inver House Distillers was established in 1964 as a subsidiary of the American company Publicker Industries.
In October 2001, Inver House entered a new chapter when it was purchased by Pacific Spirit (U.K.) Ltd, now International Beverage Holdings Limited (InterBev), the international arm of Asia's leading beverage business, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev) with an outstanding portfolio of spirits brands in the spirits, wine and beer categories.

anCnoc is the company's boutique single malt: a refreshing modern whiskey traditionally crafted at the Knockdhu Distillery near Huntly in Aberdeenshire by the 'Knock Men'. anCnoc translates from Gaelic as 'the hill', and Knock Hill continues to supply the pure water required.
The handcrafted tools found in every corner of Knockdhu recall a tradition of over 125 years, witness to the love and dedication of many generations of whiskey makers.
