For over 200 years, Ardbeg has been manufactured on the small and remote Scottish island of Islay.

Aqua vitae (in Latin literally "water of life"), is an archaic name for a concentrated aqueous solution of ethanol.
El aqua vitae se preparaba típicamente destilando vino, por lo que a veces era conocida como “Espíritu del Vino” en textos ingleses, siendo éste un nombre específico para el brandy que ha sido destilado repetidamente.
En lo general aun ahora, se aplica a ciertos aguardientes afrutados.
El nombre fue familiarmente usado para los principales licores destilados de cada región.
Thus, usquebaugh or whisky was named in Scotland and Ireland, geneva or gin in Holland.
As an unreal vision, the moon emerges from the water, source of life, hugging a boat with its light, while the darkness of the night cradles it in its destiny.

"The great spirit has reached the forest, now it is he who awaits you ..."
The 12-pointed royal deer, an icon of the Dalmore distillery, is its distinctive image since the Mackenzie bought it.
The story dates back to 1263, when King Alexander III of Scotland was saved by Colin of Kintail, Chief of the Mackenzie Clan, from the attack of a deer.
As thanks the King gave him land and the right to use that image on his family shield.

The immensity of the mountain is an impossible challenge for some, but for others, the adventurers, it is only the beginning of a passion that has no end.
A glimpse of the arrival of the condors on the heights of Cerro Fitz Roy, originally called El Chaltén, is as exciting a time as reaching the summit itself. Its majestic flight, its huge wings deployed in the sky, is a spectacle that few can enjoy in the front row.
This is a tribute to all those brave men who venture into inhospitable and dangerous places to bring us unique images that we would never see, but out of their determination and courage.
