Inspired by a photograph of Rosebank Distillery

Rosebank was rescued just in time by the Ian Macleod Distillery in 2017, and after 30 years of silence, a sleeping giant awoke in the summer of 2023. The new Rosebank preserved the old distillery, with its Victorian red Brock and imposing chimney, as much as possible, integrating it with a striking new design. I created these paintings as a vision of the fabulous celestial building, symbolizing its glorious times, from its history to the future.

A rising giant, a reborn legacy.
After 30 years of silence, production resumed at Rosebank Distillery in the summer of 2023, a milestone to remember.
"The Rosebank Stills" is the first of four paintings I want to create as a tribute to this incredible distillery and all the people involved in the Titanic's effort to bring it back to life.

Glentauchers has six pot stills, and its long fermentation and slow distillation result in a spirit with a floral and fruity flavor.
Almost all of Glentauchers is used in blended whisky.
Bottles of Glentauchers single malt whisky are rare outside of the independent bottler Gordon & McPhail.

Inspired on a photography of Neill Murphy "A Scot on Scotch" about Bunnahabhain

This is the large mill where Bunnahabhain malt is turned into grist.
Porteus was a brand of malt mill that began operating in the 1900s and saw its demise not long after.
It was made from high-quality materials and the parts fitted together beautifully. Their products were so good and lasted so long that they effectively put themselves out of business.
Porteus malt mills never broke and never needed replacing, and as every distillery in Scotland had one, there was no further business.
