Genetically related to Cabernet Sauvignon, the Merlot grape produces elegant and round body and sophistication wines of an intense ruby color with attractive violet hues.  

Its aromas cover a wide range of nuances: cassis, currants, blackberries, red fruits in general, pepper, violet, truffles and leather.  

In the mouth the Merlot is nice. Merlot are characterized by fine, elegant and velvety wines, with flavors marked with plums, raisins, black pepper, spices, roses and cinnamon.
